I too suffered with erratic water temp in my 351W until I put on one of the Kirkham surge tanks.
Here is a link to my pictures and comments:

It does not fit in a Classic Roadster on a 351w. It bolted on cleanly and
looked great but - I couldn't come close to closing the hood.

I am looking for the answer to that exact question. I've got a Roush 427IR (351W based) but the CSX radiator exit is on the left. This would be the answer to the "erratic water temp" (i.e., an air bubble) but I can't get an answer to which of these will fit under the CSX hood (in my case, carbon fiber).

It should fit. We have sold them to just about everyone. We even make adapters to space the forward and up. We make them left outlet and right outlet...just about any flavor you can think of.
If it doesn't fit just send it back. No big deal.

We have them on special for $395 for CC members. They retail at $500.
