Need some SB-100 VS SPCNS 2008 help !!
My original registration was for a 1965 Cobra SB-100 car on Jan 2, 2008, I got my Sequence number this day that was #449 that year so I made it under the wire yet was very thankful since only 500 are issued per calendar year in CA.
After 3+ years of having temporary DMV 1,3 & 6 month extensions I was sent my permanent Cobra Registration as a SPCNS 2008. I was just plain thankful for permanently getting it on the road in 2011. No alteration to the car. When my registration came to the house this year for a renewal on Jan 8, 2014 it says to smog it when I have no catalytic converter on the car. Obviously this will be a problem and I will be back to ground zero on the registration. How can the DMV and or the BAR screw up so bad ? Can anyone offer suggestions on how to solve this problem without alterations to the engine? The engine is a new 2003 Ford 4.6L DOHC with fuel injection. Thanks, bigdoggs1
