I am teaching in Southwestern Kansas now...and I do mean VERY SW KS, a small town on the OK border and only about 10 miles from the state's western border. I have not driven my replica for quite a while, but that ought to change soon as I can get it back up here where I am living. It is still in the Houston, TX area.
This year I've only worked 3 days a week...those 4 day weekends sure are sweet! Next year I'll go full time again...as I said, I need to build up a distressed savings account, but that ought to be easy once my daughter graduates from her occupational therapy training and starts earning some money. It's been a hard journey for her but I really think she's found her niche. She will work in the Austin, TX area, where all her friends live. At least she'll be off the family payroll!!
I'll drop ya a line if I'm ever expecting to be up in your area again...would love to get a ride in that Lone Star with the monster mill!!!!

Just wondering how you're going these days....I seem to remember getting a message or email from you some time ago and don't know if I responded or not. I'm retired (again) and back at work (AGAIN), trying to save up enough $$ for that all-out motor I want for my replica.

That's 50 bucks well spent though. No luck yet, People that have money want a new engine, the others want a cheap 2k engine. So I'm in the middle.
I talked with Bob Pond again yesterday, he'll give me a set of stage II heads but, not much of a break on the block. Maybe,... down to $4,000. I don't know what to do now ?
Also, he doesn't want to be filmed for the project, just photo's. I was excited about the entire build, including the forging of the block, to put on youtube and other video sites. This project seems to be falling apart and I may give up ????

Finaly got some push rods today for the kids motor cost me 50 bucks.....damn 50 bucks for stock push rods......I think i'm the one that got the rod.....lololol
any luck on you selling your motor yet ???

Got shut down today from putting the kids motor together because we dont have any pushrods........****........we didnt take the motor appart so we didnt know they where missing........****.......
