Hey Gus. The SR is much tamer. The R reminds me of the full race engines in the early muscle cars. It has a very lumpy idle, produces very little torque below 2500 rpms but is a killer from 3k to 6.5k rpms. It really sounds nasty when idling. Any real car guy who hears it just smiles and says " boy that thing sounds nasty" The SR produces a lot of low end torque which makes it easier to drive around town. The R takes a little getting used to but is not a problem once you do. Good luck.
