Yes Jim Cowden in NSW built a Roaring Forties Gt40 and then used the Fibreglass panels as a buck to fabricate an Alloy body..... Autofocus – Hand Built Classic – Ford GT40...

When I bought the car with the horrid gold wheels, terrible modern rear view mirror and no wind wings. Now with correct wheels, rear view mirror and wind wings and the chrome all polished up nicely...
