Any original style "Cobra" windscreen frame is not going to offer any protection. They are brass that is not very stout and brass being rather soft, will bend/deform easily especially with 2500#...

Personally I would always choose a manual in a car like this as it’s part of the experience. They’re never (or v rarely) be used as a daily for every drive is an event. I feel an auto disconnects...
