I wouldn't even try re-broaching existing splines. You loose too much material and nothing fits right. Right now, I'm trying to find a machinist that can roll splines on a steering shaft rather than broaching because it removes too much material on the existing shaft. Still looking. I posted Gerry Hawkridge at Hawk Cars on your thread as a place to check for new adapters. Gerry can machine any bolt pattern you'd like and it would be new Rudge splines. That's my thoughts. Email me if you want at lhaz@cox.net. This PM box is pretty small! Larry

LMH: Greetings from a long-time AC COBRA owner, CSX 2073, since 1967! Dan Case knows me. I found an old thread on the forum where you were planning on machining your own wheel hubs. Your post suggested you had access to the British-Whitworth broaching tool to reproduce the correct spline configuration. I have one Steel adapter for the American Racing Torque Thrust style wheel which was made by someone using the wrong broach. It is VERY close to the correct form, and I was hoping to avoid the high cost of making this part from scratch. Do you think there’s a chance of re-broaching the existing splines using the proper British broach? I failed in my efforts to send you photos, but would gladly do so via Email if you thought you could help me. Thanks in advance for the courtesy of a reply! Best, Bob
