    I had considered the BDR prop rod a couple of years ago but they can disengage with wind gusts. Texas is quite windy. I fabbed a locking rod instead.

    The Locktite should work fine. I've always used Locktite 7471 or 7649 Primers as well. Its an accelerant and bond promoter and helps with large gap hardware (aka= coarse thread)....
