You have to use the right sealant, specifically 3M 4291 oil safe thread sealant. Your welcome

Base/clear polyurethane, it does not matter who the actual original supplier is, a competent body shop can custom mix the paint to match. Touch up paint may be more difficult as the original spray...

You can certainly try it, but I'll be honest, I've never heard of a "glider kit form", or, you could call back and specifically ask for the "kit car package", nothing else, just the "kit car package"...
