I made mine in aluminium, from scratch as I needed a larger than standard glovebox lid. I used black crackle finish which worked out great, I think.

Gary, more accurate would be for me to have said, first time it was started in car, in the UK. The engine was built by Barry Rabotnic at Survival, dyno tested etc after a long and tortuous 2 year...
