How old is your car? Mine was built in 84' so they used the stock cardone pump valve on the back of the reseivour, which lets to much fluid (2lbs) into the Mustang II front end so they have a replacement valve that sends the correct amount (1lb) of fluid from the pump to the font end.

The squirly feeling is when you are on a highway the steering becomes very light and then you really have to pay attention to steering the car at high speed

    Hi Ron:
Honestly I have not touched my Front end so I would not want to give you the wrong advise. I do know that our cars have the Mustang II front end . I am also told that the sway bar was proprietary from Vern vs Ford. What I would do if I were you is take the part to a reputable place NAPA for instance and have them match it. I would also use the red neoprene bushings. Regarding the PS pump valve, what do you really mean by a squirly feeling, I have not had any problems with my PS pump. I wish I had a better turning circle though but that is Mustang II characteristic.
    Cheers
    Lou

Hey X, is there a place to upload on this site, I found 3 different build manuals for the original car, a 1995 build manual, and I think the most recent?

Oh I forgot to mention the plumbing to the water pump. I removed the "t" and line to the filler neck at the water reservoir and placed a bleed valve at the top of the water neck. The big end of the tank "t"-s into the big hose at the bottom low pressure side hose. Fill, run, bleed air, top off the plastic tank and your done. No more jacking up the car to purge air from the engine.

    Kingsbolt,
Thanks for the update. I'll certainly do dilligence to make the modification.

I've had to modify just about everything on this ride so far. Steering column, steering joints, steering wheel, radio, wiring, fuel tank, fuel filler, fuel sender, tail lights, interior door latch handle, wiper system, rear upper trailing arms, dash interior piece, next the dash material and now... the power steering. I have a literal pile of items which need to be taken to the dump I got from Vern in my garage. I'm just glad I did not buy a turn-key machine from him.

Sorry for the delay, but I haven't signed in for a while. Haven't installed proportioning valve yet. Not sure I will. I have other priorities like tires, shoulder belts, 100 amp alt etc.
