I have no idea how your SPF cable is set up, but when I set up my Cobra, I used a manual choke assembly that you can buy at most any auto parts store. The pull knob looks authentic.

The 3M or other brands of spray adhesive work well. The easiest thing to clean up any overspray is actually charcoal lighter fluid. The charcoal lighter fluid won't hurt any paint, vinyl or carpet....
