All,

I am trying to determine if this is a PI or CJ. The casting number on the rods in C6AE, main cap number appears to be C8AE, although the 8 is suspect. The crank casting number is 1U.

I have a 1968 428 engine that I know is either a PI or CJ. I haven't taken the tranny off to see which one yet. Does anyone know if this engine has solid or hydraulic lifters?
