List for 850

I believe the number you're looking for is 2953. There's also a 2953-1. They were available in '65 and '66, respectively. They were probably intended for use on the 4V versions of the SOHC motors.

Byots,

Unfortunately, it had Sunbursts. The Blue Dots were still on the front, and were in good shape. Of course there was one in the trunk too. But, the rears had been replaced with something...

I bought my car in March of 1969 from a college kid at UCLA. He was graduating, had a job lined up back East, and didn't want to take the car with him. I hope he wasn't an Economics major, because...

Computerworks,

I noticed also that the Registry indicated that those options were probably dealer installed. In the case of roll bars, sway bars, and mag wheels, these things are pretty much...

427 Street Car Options

Does anyone KNOW what options were available from Shelby to the original owner of a 427 street car? For example, could a buyer order and take delivery of a 1967 427 Cobra with side pipes, roll bar,...

Power Surge,

I'm curious about what you mean by "after the fact." I have always thought that things like side pipes, roll bars, and hood scoops were options that were available from Shelby for...

Don't solve the wrong problem

This is not a common problem on FE motors. If the pin sheared, it was probably caused by something other than the pin. Those gears are supposed to be a press fit on the distributor shaft. If not,...

In an attempt to get this thread back into the "Originality Forum", I believe that original cars used two bolt motor mounts, even though the blocks had provisions for three.

To tell me that I should use a good shaft rather than an old used stocker is good advice, I suppose, but not exactly what I was looking for. I pretty much dismiss the idea that the old stock shafts...
