Mine are made of plastic and were painted the same color. It is a slight destraction from the finish but, imo, worth the trouble. That rear fender front catches lots of gravel.

Usually, cars that are show quality to the eye need little else unless there is fraud involved. It may be a circumstance sale. Just know the seller and be comfortable. Bring a mechanic if you like....
