I found it mush less painful to hire some local workeres for a one shot deal. I can hire 5 strong men for about $150 for fjust an hours worth of work.

Il take a look in the morning but when i removed the chain cover and dampener last time i didnt see any evidence of it. in fact it appeared to clear the block by about half an inch. it is by the way...

I've read that Hypereutectic pistons require a bit less gap
due to the reduced piston expansion.

I laid 1/8 inch cork on the footbox surfaces and topped the surfaces with aluminum sheet .050
The cork will insulate the fiberglass and hold the heat...
