Il take a look in the morning but when i removed the chain cover and dampener last time i didnt see any evidence of it. in fact it appeared to clear the block by about half an inch. it is by the way...

Ive assembled my 351cleavor using all my best effort, however i seem to have an ongoing battle to find the reason for an extrememly tight engine!

windshield side posts

anybody know of a used set of side pillers (posts)
that they no longer need. the winshield and glass in fine in my car but the side postes are ratty!

I started with stainless but it was very very painful. hard to work with and finally went to aluminum .50 thickness.
I finished all the corners with angle and undert the aluminum I layed in cork...

I've read that Hypereutectic pistons require a bit less gap
due to the reduced piston expansion.

What lift are you running and how much spring pressure?

Are they adjusted frequently?

I've used comp cams on several engines and never had a problem, but that doesnt mean you can't.

I've taken a somewhat differenat route.

I laid 1/8 inch cork on the footbox surfaces and topped the surfaces with aluminum sheet .050

The cork will insulate the fiberglass and hold the heat...
