Another thing to consider on timing:
Comp cams and others grind their cams 4 or 5* advanced so when decreeing in a cam it might make a difference if you want to run the cam straight up and adjust it...

My 4th cobra build

Hi, Finished the mark 4 roadster and will put some miles on it this year. Ford 5 liter and 4 speed automatic, 2 1/2" under car exhaust, no more burned legs!
Looking for another project so will sell...

Hi I saw a 32 highboy at the grand national roadster show many years ago. It had an aluminum v8 that was polished to a mirror finish, best motor I have ever seen.

Well if you hook up a tow bar to the cobra and pull it to the downtown show by horse the only pollution will be CRAP !

The electric fuel pump is usually powered through a relay also.

Hi,
There should be a fan relay, probably burned/stuck contacts as the fan draws alot of current. Just replace it.

rear brakes

Hi,
you need an inline proportioning valve to the rear brakes and take out 40% pressure to rear brakes as they will lock up sooner than front . Speedway sells them.

The gap depends on the ignition coil output, a 50,000 volt coil can use a larger gap like .045 to .050. An msd box can also run a larger gap.

Rear lights

Hi,
I have a 3rd brake light on the deck that has running lights, brake, turn signals. My license plate frame has LED backup lights on each side. The inspector made sure they worked!

Power brakes

Hi,
I gave up with manual brakes. I put power brakes in and it stops and feels like a newer car. If you don't have room for a power booster put a hyroboost unit in.

Hi, finally got my inspection and B.C. VIN #. Went to the government scale.......( 1050 KG ) then to registration and insurance. :) Just need a few minor adjustments.
