The Contemporary Cobra came with Jaguar IRS rear only. Front suspension was also Jaguar torsion bar, later coil over optional. They also had a 4" round tube frame.

On early cars the # is stamped on the drivers...

On early cars the # is stamped on the drivers side 4" frame rail just above
the lower control arm as was stated above. The stamping on mine is
072082 which equals July 20 1982.
