Yep, You can with a little work raise the steering wheel. I have a older style 16 inch wheel My trunk latch is that way also. I use a thin chrome frame for the license plate.

Doug, you just want to take some measurements when you go this route. Get the cross bar as low as possible. Also note the loops are on the outside of the roll bar hoop on my CSX....

Check your motor mounts,
Check your motor mounts they may have loosened up. Put a level across the motor. Valve cover to valve cover to check to see if its level. if its not it needs to be.
