There is a profound difference. Pipe diameter is 2 1/4 inches inside quieter pipes. Inlet is offset to one side. Very restrictive. Took mine off and cut them apart. Also gained just under 80...

from subie's website curb weight 3395 lbs 290 lb/ft torque. I had an '02 wrx wagon I could best a mustang gt for two gears then watch as they drove away. That was a NON STI version.
