a late resonse, but maybe help in future.

i've used a porto power (spreader attachment) in the past to help for problems similar to this, my shop is near by (southern Ct) for future refrence.

you can get it from you local body shop supplier. the codes are on SCOF, if you can't get them let me know i'll p-m to you>

ford dealer for sender
speedo was from nissonger, sender was from ford dealer, connector/plug for the sender was also from dealer.(no part # for plug)

My spf has the sender located at the intake side of the filter housing.a wind blocking sheild was also installed infront of the cooler,i assume because temps during street driving were low.
