Shouldn't you first dial in the gearbox mounting face of the bellhousing?
Otherwise no matter how accurate and central the hole is the tranny will be pointing in the wrong direction. ;)

I believe that original FIA wheels were 6.5" and 8.5" wide.
It looks like the outer "Dish" of the wheel is the same on the 7.5" and 9.5" with the extra inch added to the rear rim and then the centre...
