Sticking throttle when hot

Question about an occasional sticking throttle in my Superformance SPO 2920 and 2010 Keith Craft street crate 408.

The car is 13 years old and has ~ 5500 miles.

When driven is hot conditions...

Enjoy! The East Bay area has some great roads. Lived in both Monterey and San Ramon for a time. Climbing up Mt Diablo was a hoot. Tons of canyon roads in the area.

Pulled my interstate battery out about two months...

Pulled my interstate battery out about two months for inspection and charging. Was able to get my fingertips along the top of each side and it lifted right up and out.

Think I’ll start with a 1/2" phenolic spacer.

If that doesn’t work, I’ll look at addressing the block mounted mechanical fuel pump and fuel lines....
