If this is your opinion that you are buying into a "representation" then it's no wonder that you are struggling with this. The Superformance, ERA, KMS, and others are "factory built" and hand made by craftsman to varying degrees. They are well engineered, well built cars capable of handling modern traffic on modern roads every day if you wish. They are part art, part thrill, part nostalgia, but all car.

Figure a little negotiation, $500 for an inspection, $2000 for shipping, 8-10 hours of your time over 4-8 weeks for SB100 registration (you can drive it immediately because you will get a paper tag) and you have a blue/white Superformance for well under $50k. Take care of it and it will be worth about the same when you are done with it.

Or, keep reaching out for other opinions. Either way this thread has been entertaining.
