460 Pilot Bearing for Manual Trans

I wanted to know what type of pilot bearing you guys are using with the 385 series engines and the Tremec transmissions. I decided to use a roller bearing type with my TKO 600 but is anyone using the solid bronze types and why ?

Thanks

does the roller type have a specific life span? how do you know when its wrecking your crank due to galling. my ignorance would make me go with the bronze....

The only info I have is the input shaft hardness must be sufficient to be able to use a modern needle bearing type roller bearing which I am using. The TKO input shafts are hardened and should not care either way, but I have a noise I am trying to pinpoint.

Bronze for this cat, mainly because they are self lubricating, and tolerate slight misalignment,Very slight, more, the trans will not be happy.
