429 Timing chain cover

Do any of the bolts located on the sides of the timing chain cover under the water pump thread into through holes in the block and directly into water jackets? I'm trying to trace the source of some coolant seepage towards the bottom of the cover. It is a DOVE block from ~71.

I just checked my DIVE block and not one of the bolt holes goes through to the water jacket, they are blind holes.
Not to confuse you ,there is one through hole but it goes through to the valley.

No scource for coolant bottom of cover. It's coming from above running down a seam and fooling you. Possibilitys include t cover gasket, pump gasket, by pass hose, t stat gasket, intake gasket, or top hose. Clean it blow dry it pressurize system and let it sit. You'll see it.

The 385 Series timing cover has channels on its backside which circumnavigate the water pump holes in the front of the block. This way, should a leak occur there the water will enter the channel in the timing cover which then directs/dumps the water out outside of the cover rather than allowing it to seep further inward and dump into the crankcase.
