Cost of head porting

Hi!

I have a 533 CID with Edelbrock 460 RPM alum heads. I have heard that these respond very well to porting?

What is the cost of a "mild" port job? I dont need eevry last ounce of power, but if a few hundred $$ can add a lot of power, I would like to do it.

Thanks,
C

$1,000 to $1500.

Head Porting

If you aren't afraid to ship your heads, I would highly recommend Joe Sherman racing in Santa Ana, CA. He fully ported and flow tested my heads for 600.00; I had him do everything because I did want to squeeze out all the power possible. New valve seats, ferrea valves, milling surfaces, new guides, etc. etc. all for 1400.00. Shipping to me in Tennessee was 75.00.

His number is 714-542-0515 best to call about 9 AM PST.

Good luck,

Tim

My guy is charging me $1,100 to really open up a set of Edelbrocks. Seems fair... He has before/after flow numbers. When I get em I'll post em.
