1st Qtr Mile at BIR .....

Live about 25 miles from Brainerd Intl Speedway........they have a Wednesday Night Street Drag a couple times a month for most of the summer...........$20 and all the rubber you can burn! Not bad......

Well, I had a riot. I like it alot better than I liked running the road course (though that was not with the Cobra....so who knows).

Anyway.......Slllllloooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww reaction times and my damn clutch is slipping in fourth gear........Drat! But all in all a good start. Need some softer rubber......I can see where a guy could get into this!.......

My very first run was a 12.95 @ 115.80 with a .675 Reaction Time.....

Kept trying to feather the throttle, but still got nothing but rubber in first......2nd and third seemed almost competent......but even feathering the throttle in fourth I was clearly losing my grip on the clutch. Very frustrating. Time for more research.......

But a great start on a new hobby........Very fun. Beat out a very scary looking Dodge Dart the first race and a very tight run against a Trans Am the second go around.....

With a litte softer rubber and a stronger pressure plate, I think I can see the tens from here...............
