The T5 will have to be gone through, or replaced with a Tremec if you want to keep the 5spd. Bolt in kits are available from places like Windsor Fox, or Mustangs Unlimited. Expect to add in at least a set of subframe connectors, or better yet, a 4-6 point rollcage. In addition to these items, your going to need stiffer springs, better front brakes, a larger radiator, and a custom built 9 inch rear end.............

I believe this question is covered by doing a search on the Ford 385 forum. Someone is always dropping a 429 / 460 into a mustang over there.

i just finished a 429 swap in a fox body, and i have 2 more waiting in line to do, theres a lot to consider, dont use a t5,we use the 5.o front springs ,sometimes i put a tube cross menber in,and now i use a motor plate in every car,the limting factor is the headers, depending on whos u use or have some made, engine hight is very important, the other thing to think about is oil pan, we use a c6 trans, and i make my own crossmember also,
and a man rack, when i dont use stock front springs ,i add coil overs to the front,

hope this helps, youlll have a lot of fun with a 429 in there,.........................
