I Stuffed a 460 in my Cobra !
:confused: I am trying to locate a set of shorty headers for my 460 so I can pop the exhaust out the side !? I am so tired of choping up headers and trying to make them work and balance out on the flow bench ! :CRY:

What heads?
There are probably 5 port types on 385 series BBF engines. And, what kind of Cobra? |
Unless your Mfg. of Cobra designed it for a 460 and has headers for it, there is no such thing and can't be had anywhere. They will have to be custom made for your car. I wouldn't be too concerned to much about having them balance out on the flow bench,(i.e. equal length), you'll be happy to just to get built and installed.

I build my own headers/sidepipes/mufflers. Contact Burns Stainless(CostaMesa I think),they build the best in the world.I'm talking F1 here,but they will either build what you need or sell you the stuff to do your own.The work these guys do is pure art.I buy all my mandrel bends from them,but I know they can help advise you.Want Inconel? They got that too.Good luck.

I have the 460 in my SPF. I am sure SPF sell's them.

Inconel 625, Inco 625 or I625 is a Nickel based stainless steel, that was designed for extreme temperature applications like the exhaust stage components of turbine engines. It has a high resistance to stress caused failure at temps up to 1300 deg. f and high oxidation resistance up to 1800 deg f. It is a great alloy for applications where exhaust temps are very high. But it is very expensive as far as stainless steels go. Jason |
