With a front sump pan,what is the best pump out there today ?

Is the 429 SCJ pump different than the regular 429/460 pump? IE: does the pickup attach to the pump in the same place?

I think so,it bolts in place.
Difference is front or rear sump application,my understanding anyway.

When I replaced my Mellings oil pump on my 514 with the Canton 7 quart front pick up, I had to go with one for the police car's. It was a lower profile then the normal one.
