Oil filter seepage

Using a Purolator Pure 1 oil filter on my Boss 429 with a Precision oil pumps Melling HV pump with shim kit.
Oil pressure at startup 80 lbs cold at (2500 rpm) .
Experianced oil seepage at the O ring while running, and seemed to increase when I backed of the throttle to 900 rpm.
Tried another filter,same problem.
Anybody have any thoughts about this problem.
Thanks,
Dave

Have you examined the sealing surface on the block? I don't recall which side the fuel pump is on , but I had what I thought was a similar problem an a Cleveland. It turned out to be blowing oil from the fuel pump vent on to the filter and appeared to be from the filter. I changed the pump and it stays clean now. Just a thought.

Thanks for the input !
Fuel pump is blocked off,no leakage there.
I bought a K&N filter and notice that they have full contact on the inside perimeter of the metal to O ring ,unlike others wit only a series of dimples.
Installing today,stay tuned.
Dave
