Lower Radiator hose

Guys, Have a quick question for anyone who can offer their opinion.

My re-build is just about complete. It is now going to be a 460/514. I had a Meziere std flow electric pump on the old setup and had some issue with heating. I decided to go with the High volume version which has raised a new issue. The outlet to the lower rad hose is touching the Crank trigger. So we have come up with a solution (spacer and 2 outlets bibs welded together to angle away from trigger wheel).

Ok so here is my question:
I am in need of new lower raditor hoses. I am considering all options, I currently have a hard pipe setup with a bend (from formed rubber hose), worked great no issues. with the new setup I am coming out the other side and will have to redo completely, has anyone ever used the formable hoses, like coolflex? Any pro's cons... I know one pro (easier).

Anyone please let me know your experiences, last thing I want to do is go to local store and trial and error this thing together with different bends....

I used the black coolflex hose for my bottom hose, no fancy ends, just used regular rubber hose ends clamped on the coolflex hose. Been on for just 300 miles, but it seems to be okay. Installed in just minutes, too!

Thanks for the reply. I am a little concerned about the hose being ribbed on the inside as well. I do not want to slow water flow, as I have had heat issues. I am going by memory (back to school)but I believe the main flow of a liquid through a pipe is in the center, not as much around the walls, but again heating problems in the past....

Any other thoughts. Anyone know where to go to get a custom formed hose?

I use a 36" Coolflex lower rad hose as well. The convoluted metal of the hose gives a huge increase in conductive cooling surface area that rubber hose does not have. Once the ambient temperature is lower than the coolant flowing through the hose you will benefit from a bit of extra heat dissipation especially if you are using a significant length.
