Edelbroc torker v torker II
Can anyone tell me what is the difference between the edelbroc TORKER and the TORKER II manifolds ?
I have a torker and am wondering if the torker IIs have been changed somewhat in the size of the port to head area. I need a very low sitting manifold to bolt to FMS scj heads and a better port match than the old torker manifold offers. Looking forward to your responses. IVA BIGAN |
IVA,
The original Torker has very tiny ports and runners. The newer Torker II is much bigger, both in port size and runner size. The Torker II is the least high (lowest carburetor pad height) manifold you can buy for the 460. http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_...orker-bb.shtml You will find the Torker II ports smaller than the SCJ ports. It isn't necessary to match the port size; apparently the step up into the SCJ port is OK for flow and mixing. Hope this helps, Tom |
