429 Ford Pilot Bushing

Not all early 429 ci Fords had the crank machined for a Ford pilot bushing. They have a 1.250" bored hole that can be adapted. Does anyone know having performed the same adaption what the length of the bushing calculated out to be? I plan on calculating it myself; however, I would like to check my numbers against what you came up with. For reference my bellhousing is 6.250" deep, and my toploader measures 6.250" from tip of the input shaft to the mounting face of the transmission. The bushing I have is 1.300" long.
