Here's how I estimate fuel consumption: Since I have injectors that flow a known quantity and I've seen the duty cycle they have to be open at full throttle, I can get a reasonably accurate estimate of consumption. Hsssss, your engine is actually very close to mine in configuration and it takes a given amount of fuel to make certain power regardless of carb or efi. 8x50 lb per hour injectors=400 lbs of fuel per hour at theoretical 100% opening. I've never seen them stay open more than 80% duty cycle so that would be 400x.8=320 lbs per hour. 320 lbs / 6.5 lbs per gallon = 49 gph. I still consider 49 gph as conservative. I would certainly give weight to whatever Richard Huggins says though.
