Hey Gang !
June 6th will be the car show at Jeffrey's in Braselton. Jen & I went to both shows last year and had a lot of fun ! The 2nd show last year, we had a great Cobra turn-out and had 10 cars there... ironically, if you look at their featured photo at the link below you can see the row of Snakes down the right side. Looking forward to this one on Sunday ! Remember to sign-in with the "Southern Snakes" club so we can have a go at the Trophy. Hope some more of you decide to come on out.... So far I am seeing the list as follows: Jen & I Gerry Mike & Stacy Joe C Gary Lahr & 'da Crew Matt (in GT500?) Greg Commissioner (in GT350) (update) + Charlie Aaron (?) Bopp (after the picnic ?) .....that's it ??? (really... !?) I'll keep checking back and will block out enough spots for everyone and will get us back near the shade like we were last year. Plenty of Shade confirmed & Under Construction class..
I just spoke with Moe & David (the guys from III Productions) and they had already set aside the spot we like with the shade.
I have some small orange cones and will bring a ball of twine also so we can stake out enough spots for everyone. I found out that they will be having a "C@bra class" just for us and they also have an "Under Construction" class !! Perfect for Swafford, Grego, Mark, Matt and ??? I'll bet money that these guys could go home with trophies before there cars are even done ! LOL !! throw it up on a trailer if you can't drive it and bring it out ! Hope to see y'all there ! |

Just looked at Weather and looks like clear skies and sun until this evening with some isolated Tstorms later this eve. Awards should be between 3-4pm, so we should all be safely back home before the Tstorms threaten too much. See y'all in a little while ! Commish, we have several coming just before Reg cut-off at 12. Thanks to everyone that came out yesterday !
The weather was not horrible and seeing everyone was great....but the show somehow wound up being a real BIG flop. The last two shows there were a lot of fun and MUCH larger...I think we only wound up with ~ 50 cars there yesterday. (probably less...) The good news is that Southern Snakes took 2nd Place in the Club Participation with 7 cars there and received a nice trophy... "Birthday Boy" Joe C., took home the 2nd Place in the C@bra class and also the Club Participation trophy. and Matt pulled another 1st in Classic Ford with his GT500. CONGRAT'S GUYS !!! We had quite a few raffle winners also and Lahr even pulled out a nice Yeungling bar light.... It was a good time and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon !
