Moving to Atlanta!

Hey Guys, I'm moving to Atlanta from Texas....I have a 67 Cobra with the plexi glass wind screen and NO windshield wipers! I never had any problems registering or getting the car to pass inspection...is it the same here in ATL?
Thanks!!!

Certain counties have emissions inspections, so depending on how your car is set up (and/or titled in Texas), you may run in to certain issues.

Thanks for the info...I'm getting a bit nervous about this.....any insight on a good mechanic shop? Somewhere I can take the car in for oil changes etc? Thanks again!

Note that other than emissions, which are only checked in Atlanta and the nearby, suburban counties, there are no other vehicle inspections in Georgia.

I brought my Cobra into Georgia and had no problems at all.

JCA, if your car is already titled, which I'm sure it is. You won't need an inspection. Also if it's titled as a 67 you're exempt from any emissions test. Anything older than 25 years is exempt as titled.

Guys, anything on a good mechanic? I just moved to Alpharetta and need an oil change soon. I know in Texas very few shops would touch my car. Thanks for all of the help!

Did you ever find a good mechanic? I have yet to find a place I feel really comfortable with.

Doubt he will respond to you as the last time he was actually logged in to the site was 03-06-2016 12:30 PM

Might I suggest you start your own thread instead of resurrecting threads that have not been touched in years
