Autocross at Turner Field Sunday
Peachstate Porsche Club is hosting an autocross this Sunday.
Details below: We're moving back to Turner Field in the Blue Lot. Bob is sure to set out a fun and challenging track which will serve as a great "tune up" for Rennfest 03. Course walk starting at 10, registration from 10:30 - 11:30, Driver's meeting at 11:40 and the first car will be off at NOON! We will have 6 timed runs!! Visitors are welcome as long as they pre-register with Bob Clark via email at rclark85@bellsouth.net or fill out the online form at www.peachstatepca.org. We will accept 30 Visitors. This includes, SCCA, Viper club, Miata club, Corvette club and BMW club. Come out and see if you folks can KICK BUTT. The cost will be $25 for PCA members and $30 for Visitors. This lot is very costly so come out and help us pay for it!! |
TC if I get my tag this week I might drop by to watch and see how many of my old friends from the late 70's early 80's are still active in PPC.
How did the build go Monday? Need any help putting things together? I have a huge assortment of hammers and pliers and very little knowledge. The perfect mix   Randy |
The build went very well and I can truly say I had a major hand in it. Although Bill joked about there now being no warranty :D :D
I was there for 11 hours and it felt like 2 or 3 tops. I was wishing I ordered 9 rods and pistons so I would have an extra for display purposes. Simply amazing workmanship and machining. All the specs were dead on accurate, end play, etc when we were done. The cam is real meaty, should be interesting. Biggest pain and time sink was end gapping all the rings--took about two hours with both Lewis and I working at it! Got the short block done, need to port heads and match to exhaust headers(something I know you can relate to ;) ) Oil cooler arrived yesterday, padding over weekend so I should make headway quickly. Of course I have to fly to Frogland all next week so that will put a slowdown on things. |
Do i have a car that could do well ? I have not been in an autox for 20 years, but I will actually be driving by there at 11:00 on Sunday, with trailer.
TC, can we have a party at your house to watch videos ? |
Johan,
Why don't you try your RSR at the Autocross :D :3DSMILE: :D :3DSMILE: :D :3DSMILE: ? Yes we can watch the Hooters 100 videos, er, I mean Willis 100 at my place when I get back from FTF land. |
