Good bodyshops?

Well, I just brought in a new cobra to the area. It's perfect except for a spider crack in the paint on top of a front fender, I can't imagine how it got there. Does anyone know of a good shop around here? What is the deal with fibergalss and spidercracks anyway? It looks like the paint is a thick layer of brittle ceramic.

Welcome to the Atlanta Group. Sounds like a stone or other debris thrown from the wheel and hitting the underside of the fender.

I think GeorgiaSnake is correct. Typically there is no inner liner in the wheel well, so the impact of road debris can go through to the paint.
I have heard of folks gluing some sort of urethane foam to the inside of their wheel wells to prevent the cracking and to reduce the noise from grit/small gravel.

I used a spray on undercoating on my car and so far so good. Tires have a lot to do with picking up trash as well.

Bruce is one helluva nice guy. I have hired him to paint my Kirkham whenever it makes its way east. Bruce comes highly recommended by Bill Parham at Southern Automotive. TC has seen some of his work and he said it is fantastic. His prices also seem very reasonable and he has great customer service.
