Any of you local boys want a Kirkham?

See my ad in the "For Sale" Forum. I've got the car priced at what I paid for it. It's about $6k lower than the Kirkham $39.9k special with the extras added on that are on this car.
I'm selling the car so I can keep from being in the top 3 "longest Kirkham builds" ever(behind Ronworks, Pat B., and our very own TC).:D
Check out the ad, I'll take most common muscle/pony cars in trade. For local guys I'll even hold for awhile with a BIG down payment.

SFCJ,

You need to get your butt over here and go for a Cobra ride. I know you are taller than me, but that can be dealt with. I now know what it feels like a to be 25 year old blonde female bombshell. In 5 minutes, I caused more people to stare, snap their necks, and generally cause traffic mayhem just with them gawking, it was a riot. Remember, a Cobra is the ultimate muscle car!

ToyCollector 03-07-2004 06:19 PM

Actually, you are in the top 3. You took delivery before me, right?

southernfriedcj 03-07-2004 06:55 PM

Mike, You may be right. Rich Lacey picked my car up a few weeks after your car was shipped, but mine got here first!;) Actually, mine got here July 3rd. You got yours in June, right?

ToyCollector 03-07-2004 06:59 PM

Hmmm, yep you're right. I think I got mine end of May, right after memorial day weekend. You have 30 days or so to get it done to stay out of the top 3. :) Step away from the keyboard and grab your tools and go to the garage.

SFCJ say it ain't so  If you get your butt in gear you can have that thing on the road sooner than later or you can bring it over here and I'll take care of it.

Good luck with the sale - I must say that is the most comprehensive list of cars you are willing to trade for that I have ever seen - is it that difficult to finsih a Kirkham/more expensive than planned/ or you just lost the cobra lust? If you don't mind sharing, if you do I understand.

Thanks,
Jordan

Longest build????? McMahon's got you beat by a long shot. That's right, that whipper snapper started his build back in the Bush Administration, the first one, not Curious George.

Why he's been building that FIA so long that, when I got this Fez from Don Durner, I was still dating my dead wife.

She didn't smell quite as bad then though.

Johnny Mac will never finish that dang Cobra, if he ever does, it will hafta be retrofitted with those newfangled engines like George Jetson has.

NOTE:
...I've been at it 5 years, don't give up, I haven't....no matter how much grief I get!

Vin Plate?

SFCJ,
Is the Kirkham Vin plate afixed (glued or pop riveted) to the body as indicated in the photos?

I have a 31 Model A streetrod roadster pickup (pix in my photo gallery - page #1) that we could possibly do a deal. This car is a car show contest winner. All polished everything. '79 Chevy 350 Vette bored .030 over and totally reworked, all chromed and polished too. Over $65K invested by the builder of the car. I'm the 2nd owner after completion. If interrested, I can send more photos. I would consider an even swap depending on how much you have done on the Kirkham. I will be passing thru your area in 2 weeks, and can bring streetrod with me to do the deal. Please contact me via email with your responce.

Terry, I'll email you.

Tony, I'll give you a call.

Turk, JM, Jordan, and Randy, KMP230 has been sitting in my garage for 8 months, and I don't see any extra time available to complete it in the next few years(in the last month I've closed on a couple of thousand lots worth or raw land, and between the banks, the tree huggers, and the EPD there's not very much time left in a day). I just have to accept reality and let the car go. That's the reason for the long list of cars I'll swap for, I'll get something ready to drive. If the Ford GT ever goes for retail, I'm gonna get one of those(my business partner gets A-Plan and he said that he can get a GT @ A-Plan price in the second year).

Jamo, I'll probably pull the right rear wheel and take a pic of your handiwork and frame it for my office.

All's not lost. When TC finally gets all the bugs worked out of 249, I'll head on up and go for a ride.:D
