I must admit that I agree somewhat with Russ. He was certainly going very fast, but 190 is unlikely. It does look like SC terrain except there aren't any slow truckers lounging around in the fast lane.

I repeat my earlier question / comment: Was that MPH or KPH? It looked like KPH to me.

hauling the mail
Sheesh, you guys are a tough ones. I think the jist is that he is hauling some major ass. The closing rate on the last car he passes is simply unreal. I don't care if it was 170-->he was bringing it. :D
The morality police around here are as bad as the FCC of late. Ugh. Maybe you can give me a talkin' to if you catch me. thanks buckley for keeping 'em in line. regards, jon |
Tommy,
MPH. The thread on the GT40 website which this video was originally posted to states the speedo registers 220 MPH. Russ, I disagree about how fast it "looked." To me, it looked like the other cars were standing still as he went by. Drive down the road at 40 and watch the parked cars ahead on the road and watch them get closer as you pass them. It pretty much simulates what it would look like if those parked cars were doing 60 and you're doing 100. When I did that, I was surprised at how slowly it appeared I was going compared to a stationary object. The last car he passed (you can hardly make it out because the camera man was focusing on the speedo) looked like it was being sucked backwards. MT |
This is a silly question but, what do you click on to view this video ?
|
Kevin, click on the "holy crap" link in my original message. It takes you to another thread. The first message on that thread has a link at the bottom "holy crap batman". That link takes you to the video. Snap on your seatbelt and check it out.

GT-40
If you guys can wait until later this year, Superformance is building their version. If you go to their website and look under videos, they mention a little bit about them. As with SPF, you know it will be a great factory built car. Mark |
