SFCS, at least in Texas we have family "Trees". Don't most of y'all in Georgia have family "Stems"? :D

Ron61 06-25-2004 09:43 AM

Jamo,

What about triplets and if two are women and one a man or the other way around? That should give the marrige license people a few things to think about. I think they do get a license in the South don't they? :3DSMILE:

Ron

flipper35 06-25-2004 02:18 PM

Surprised no one has mentioned sheep yet.

GeorgiaSnake 06-25-2004 02:45 PM

Ron we have tress - just very few branches - kissin cousins rule.

Randy

Turk I don't know if my check went out as planned - I'm out of town - it will go out Sat if not already. I don't like being linked to anything dem.......

Johan 06-25-2004 03:54 PM

The money TC gave was owed to me so we should each get 1/2 of a little "Captain Crunch" thingy.

Dave Crace 06-26-2004 04:09 AM

Well I sent mine a couple of weeks ago, and the left coasters spelled my name wrong.

I gotta go wake up my sister to cook breakfast...........

Ron61 06-26-2004 05:22 AM

Flipper,

Sheep are only talked abut in Fresno where thanks to Jamo they have family trees.

Kountzecobra,

When I asked one of the people from Georgia what his family tree looked like, he took me outside and pointed at a power pole. Not many stems there.

 :3DSMILE:

On the other hand my family tree looks more like a maze and you pick and choose I guess.

That is exactly why I asked for certain information to be included with each donation.
I had a theory , and I wanted to see if the facts would support my thesis that Short Southerners driving Camaros would donate less than tall Southern aluminum owners.

All the data is not in, so it remains to be seen.

What da fook is up with your sig?

Considering Turk has not logged in since 10-20-2009 04:37 PM, it may be quite some time before he responds. Unless of course Jamo clues him in to your latest post :JEKYLHYDE

Would the signature "OBAMA IN in 2012" be consistent with Turk's personality? Or could it be that someone hacked his account and changed his signature as a joke? :JEKYLHYDE

RB60 12-05-2020 04:37 AM

Well, they say a man can marry his sister down South, but out West, they say a man can change his sex and marry his brother. Is this what they call "evolution" out there?

(just askin')

This is the downside of reviving old threads. Taken way out of context - you weren't around in those days and you have no grasp of the atmosphere of camaraderie and grown-up ribbing that existed among a large group of core members. Best to let old threads die a dignified death - judging people you do not know from a time you don't understand is a pointless pain in the (G)ass.

And this is why the following thread was created:

It’d be nice if replies to a thread with last post over 5 years old (or some designated timeframe) received a pop up warning (perhaps the Newbie warning #3). If not already a feature option (I assume it’s not), then perhaps a recommendation to the software manufacturer, even offering to test develop with their programmers for the benefit of all their customers.

Fun thoughts since the subject post was (in jest) about site funding:

Have the pop up warning say if you reply to this old post you’ll be charged a quarter (the good olde online quarter jar!). Just don’t go retro, I couldn’t afford it!

Also, it appears there’s gold in them there classics, for personal entertainment! I’ve searched and read many and undoubtedly have missed many more, a shame. A page called ‘Club Cobra Classics’ where the best of the best historical entertainment posts are listed.

Not to be lost to history, all pre-vetted as the very best, all identified for the user, a tremendous value provided, for a small cost! Jamo rants a quarter, the Real One posts a quarter (the whole shootin’ match a buck), prolific user kick outs a quarter, the Hitler parody video, well, priceless!

Remember, just don’t reply to them as that will cost you a quarter, or in the case of the Classics, maybe ten bucks, as you can’t improve upon a classic, not the real ones.

(ok, ok, the challenges, you’d then have to have warnings/limits whenever someone comes across and wants to view a classic on there own, or crossed titles like cross referencing part numbers so not easily identified/searched from the Classics page, then the site’s no longer free for everything, etc., etc., again just some fun thoughts that's all! ☺☺)

Bill, I would normally agree with you on this, but for the fact that the member who replied (southernfriedcj) - after 14 years - was in fact the OP :D

Cheers!
