Atlanta Cruise-In SATURDAY 4-6
My fellow Atlanta enthusiasts. Rob Ginn and I are planning on stopping in on a car show/cruise-in held in Canton today from 4-6 in Historic Downtown. Hope to see you there!:D

I think we will be house hunting this afternoon:rolleyes:

I would like to catch up with you folks and introduce myself, and check out the cars of course...
Any help with directions from Dawsonville would be appreciated, otherwise we'll just wing it. -John |
John,
Take 369 down to Ga 20. follow Ga 20 into the Canton Square. According to Tony the show is there. I'll have my Factory Five there as well. |
David,
Thanks, see you there a little after 4p. |
Well that was nice!:D Funny how little Canton is a hot bed for muscle car shows. We had a nice time within the confines of the "old" town square of Canton and enjoyed roaming the lane with Bob, DavidH and Rob Ginn. It was also nice to meet Mr. & Mrs. Fox (and little Ethan) of Dawsonville who plans on building an ERA FIA car. All in all a good trip with good people! For those who aren't aware David Hatcher is starting his pilgrimage to St. Louis this week - bits at a time so this was a sort of FAREWELL if you will. We wish you a safe and prosperous move and look forward to your return!:)

Hey Tony , Thanks for calling. I wasn't sure the weather would hold up but it was a great afternoon. Nice time with good folks. As Arnold once said "I'll be back", Of all the places I've called home there is no place like Georgia.
If anybody spots a u-haul going North on 75 to Nashville and over to Paducah KY then on to St. Louis Mo. (with a Replica in Tow), That'll be me. I'll be checking in and you never know I might get back and let Tony give me a ride to one of the car shows, but you'll have to take the doors off... Thanks Guys, Gods Speed.... DavidH |
David, Tony and Rob,
The directions were perfect, although at some point all we really needed to do was follow the BelAirs, Camaros, and Mustangs... I appreciated the experience shared and I think Kris now 'gets it'. As for Ethan, he was 'drooling' over the De Tomasso... I look forward to the next outing. -John |

Need more garage space?? |
I wish I'd been in town to join you guys, but we were up in Joisey at the 60th Birthday party of an old Cobra bud from the 70s. He's had an ERA 427 since 1992, but in our youth drove an original 289 with some dragonsnake bits (ported heads, dual quads, and knock off Torque Thrust wheels). Quick little car, but just an afternoon snack for CSX3121. We spent Sunday in CT with another Cobra friend from the old days, Geoff Howard. Geoff has owned eleven (!) original Cobras, and has restored several notable cars, including CSX2002 and CSX3002. Just trying to get back in the spirit.
