Impromptu Saturday PM Ride?
North GA, 3pm-ish? for a few hours... Anyone? Before the hurricane hits, let's take advantage of the nice weather.

Clyde,
Just saw this. Taking the family to Dawsonville for the day. The Shelby guys met at the Avenue this morning and I swung by. 1st Saturday of every month. Turning into quite the car gathering similar to the old Cars and Coffee thing around the corner from me.

It's at Bailey's Pub near the intersection of Peachtree Industrial and Pleasant Hill Rd. Bailey's is on the west side of PI, just south of PH rd.

Well that was fun...
Tony and I helped Keith Lang break-in his newly roadworthy Unique 427 (427 s.o., dual quads... nice!) Perfect temps, a nice piece of road up to Dahlonega (except for the Hyundai - self appointed guardian of velocity)... but we made up for his delay tactics on the way back!
It makes you remember why we built these things, fast, fun and friends...
...Let's do that more often!

If we do it too often, at least one of us won't survive! I would feel better if we could get Bud to get us a few "get out of jail free' coupons.

Look at it this way, Tony...our record is improving, nobody threw anything at us this time... :D ...although in the one incident of 'accelertus interruptis' we were close to needing someone to explain our actions to the local Sheriff... :eek: :D

Mike, I think I'm going to blow off the car show today. I've really got to get this lawn project under way. I'm still feeling a bit of the adrenalin rush from yesterday's ride. If you go, have fun. Maybe the turn out will be ok.

Clyde, look further up the thread. It's at Bailey's, about 100 yds south of Pleasant Hill Rd. on Peachtree Industrial Blvd. Give me a call when you're heading over. I've been aerating all morning. I may take a brief break and run over for a minute. There's a big show in Alpharetta tomorrow afternoon. It's one of Wayne Dodd's shows www.blastfromthefastpast.com. Several 70s rock bands will be there. |

I assumed you all your rides were similar to ours?? She felt great though - temp, alignment, etc. Still feeling the rush!

Keith, I should have been paying more attention. You know how it is having a pair of side pipes screaming in your ears. I never heard you coming up behind me. I'm sure the adrenalin was pumping!
