Is there a place in ATL to rent a Cobra for a day???...wedding
Hi all -
I'm at a loss so, I thought I would ask here. I'm getting married in early November and theme is 50s / 60s. So, instead of the same old limo, I'm thinking a Cobra kit car. I saw great looking silver one at Sharon Park in Alpharetta / Cumming. What a great looking car! So, I started looking and I'm at a dead end. Does anyone know where I might find a Cobra to rent for a day? My intent is to pick it up the night before, or morning of, and then have the car available at the valet of the hotel around 11PM...evening wedding. Hack, That is a very big request. Seems that at 11pm you wouldn't be able to get the visual effect you are really looking for anyway. Kinda hard to see at night. Anyway, there are some exotic car rental places around, but I've never seen a Cobra offered. Insurance is the key factor here, probably. I certainly wouldn't let some Valet Jockey behind the wheel of my car. As a matter of fact, there has only been three others that have driven my car besides me. If you were someone I knew, and had a $45K cash refundable deposit, I might consider renting it out, but nothing short of that. Maybe you can find a car dealer that has one for sale that would consider renting it for the day.
P.S. If you plan on drinking booze at your wedding, I wouldn't rent it at all. P.S.S. Find a nice 57 Chevy convertable to use. It has a huge back seat for you and your bride that is multi purpose**) :rolleyes: ;) P.S.S.S. Congratulations on your soon to be numptuals. |
Check Flashback Motorworks on Pendley Rd. in Cumming, GA. I seem to remember they may have a classic car they would rent... probably not a Cobra, but a 50's or 60's car perhaps...

How about we do a parade for you and the new bride. We can surround your limo and escort you to.................. I bet we could get 8 to 10.

The only place I saw to rent a Cobra resently was the last time I was in Vegas last year, plus you could get married at one of the many Elvis Chapels.

I researched this a couple of years ago (that's when I first came to CC). At that time there were only two exotic car rental companies in the US that rent COBRAs: RentAVette in Vegas (actually another place in Vegas rents a COBRA, but not as nice), and another place in LA. I'd try the dealer suggestions above.
