I'm thinking you two might be the most knowledgable here for my question. I'm using Kodak Easy Share software for pictures and have a Kodak 6330 camera piped to a dell computer. I ordered it all together for compatability, but to download pictures takes forever. They are HUGE. I can't post on the GT40's website because pictures can't be larger than 100,000kb or is it 100kb. Mine must all be larger than that. Do you guys know how I can downsize my picture files to just under 100,000k/100kb. I've seen my pictures after downloading for email purposes. The computer screen is not large enought to see the whole picture. Help, Help, Help.
Thanks, Jim Downard |
Hi Jim...
The "secret" for converting pictures from Today's hi-res, mega-mega-pixel cameras is to use some Photo Editing software to: 1. Resize your image 2. Convert it to a different file type. One such program probably came with your camera. Ideal for web and posting is a 640x480 JPEG. I sent you an e-mail with a more lengthy explanation. |

You can start by setting the camera to only one meg pixel any more than that is a waste

You can also use Adobe Photoshop. In the program you can also save for the web and it substantially reduces the size of the image, Give it a try. You can go to the Adobe website and download a temporary use version of Photoshop to see if you like it.
