Registering in GA
Hi Guys,
I'm not quite ready for the registration process, but I thought I'd better start thinking about it. What has been your experience with Georgia registration? (Cobb specifically) My concern is that if it's registered as a 'new' car it would have emissions standards which would most likely be unattainable. What has been everyones experience, and what suggestions can you offer? These are my initial thoughts: 1) title/register it as a '65 model..underhanded, but may work 2) title/register as a 2002 (when I bought it) 3) Do one or the other in Tenn. out of my folks address. They have no emissions rules there that I know of.. -Gerry |
I would recommend conforming to the letter of the law or discussing experiences with others offline. Several state authorities have been known to peruse these boards and we have had a California Asst DA actually become a member here on CC. PM some of the GA members for more inquiries.
Sorry for the welcome, but I'd hate to see this state follow what some others are doing. |
OK. In keeping with the suggestion, please reply direct to me with any suggestions please.
Thanks. -Gerry |
