Anyone want to drive down to Southern Auto this Sat?

Hey guys, my car's done with it's Spring "tune up" and "fix what Jason did over Winter". Weather looks nice this weekend, anyone want to take a drive on Saturday ... and let me hitch a ride to Southern so I can drive back? :D

GeorgiaSnake 03-11-2005 02:48 AM

Jason I'll call you later in the morning. Is Bill in town?

Randy

Yeah, he's in town. Offered to fire up the Falcon as well. If it works out, I'd owe you a few beers.

Ya'll let me know what you're going to do. I just got in from a week in blizzard country. I don't know if I can make it, but I wouldn't mind seeing Bill. It's been a while.

patrija 03-12-2005 06:14 AM

Tony - We're heading down there this AM (Randy, me, and maybe Owen). Plan to be there are 10am.

Tony Radford 03-12-2005 01:22 PM

Good seeing you guys. Seeing Bill and Susan around the shop on a Saturday is always a treat. The ride back was awesome. It's hard to believe I had to dig my rental car out of a snow bank yesterday morning and I'm riding my open-top car without a coat today. AMERICAN BY BIRTH AND SOUTHERN BY THE GRACE OF GOD!

What a neat way to spend a Sat morning - drooling over Hemi's, FE's and those wonderful SB's and it's always nice being educated by the ole master. I only made one mistake - climbing into the Falcon and firing up the monster - I'll never be the same.

Randy

JO hope you found your way :p

I thank you Bill & Susan for being wonderful hosts in the best Southern tradition - and for a trip through the museum. TC, your hemi looked pitiful - like a fine terrier in the pound.

patrija 03-12-2005 04:31 PM

:D

Still grinning after my drive home. I love my SuperFE!

patrija 03-13-2005 06:13 PM

... I think I got the Studebaker Hawk "sickness" ... wonder what it would take to make one of those into a nice daily driver ...

ToyCollector 03-14-2005 09:24 PM

Damn, missed a fun time with some great folks. I had family duties and grilling duties. I was going to go there to run herd on the body guy who can help the Hemi become one.

Good news is I plugged up the KMP Valdez (fuel lines from KMS factory install, not oil/motor related) and drove her on Sunday....until the Roswell PD came a callin'. %/
