Newbie Here

Hi everyone , just wanted to introduce myself to the Atlanta area crowd. I have an FFR MkIII that I started in April of this year so needless to say its not running yet . But I do have a rolling chassis , the engine and trans is in and it should be go carting by September or October with a little luck. Feel free to PM me or contact me anytime to look at my progress or lack of progress.

Cheers,
Rodney

Rodney, I've got to be the newest "Newbie" in our area. Your so close I just heard you drop that wrench! Send me a PM and I'll contact you. Would love to see your progress since mine is more of a longterm commitment! Thanks Matt.

Welcome! I am also a "newbie" and am in west Cobb near 120 and Mars Hill - not far from you I'm guessing

ok

I'm pretty sure it's the 4th Saturday of each month - downtown Dallas there's a cruise in. Usually brings in a couple hundred cars or better. If the weather is nice this month, I'll be there with my FFR Cobra.

Open invite for the west atl guys.

Directions to downtown Dallas ...

Hwy 120 W
Right on Hwy 278
2nd red light - RIGHT on Hwy 61 N (QT market/Kroger on the corner)
at the red light - LEFT on 61 N and straight into downtown - you won't miss the crowd.

4pm to 9pm.

Mike, I probably pass your house daily!! Your one brave person(cross country drive), I'm sure there was some great stories after that trip! You know me,you and Rodney must live with in 2-3 miles of each other. I'm right off Due West and Mars Hill, we have got to get together and see each others projects. Of course mine is pretty stationary. Pm me with some contact ## and I'll call you. Thanks, Matt

Matt,

Give me a call sometime - would love to stop by and see your project. As always - give me a call if you need another set of hands.

Mike

You guys are right around the corner. I am off of Kenn. Due West and 99% complete. Just need to bleed the clutch and put on the pipes and, oh yea, cross my fingers! By the way Bud, your suggestion worked like a charm and the remote oil lines went in like a charm...THANKS. Always helps to have a second set of eyes on the project.

You got a working set of wheels and tires already? If the weather holds out on Sunday or Monday, I'm available for back up if ya want to get some break in miles.

The rears work with a 5/8 spacer. I tried some trigos from base-626 over n Decatur but the backspace was too short and they stuck out past the fender well 1 1/2 inches like the old ones did before I narrowed it! I can't believe that they will not fit after taking 5 inches off the rear...especially since I called B&B and was told that 50 inches flange to flange would work:-( I think I am going to have to go with Compomotives and about a 4 1/2" backspace.
